      The 2010 WSSA Japan Sport Stacking Championships, held March 21 in Tokyo, were a big success! Many Japan records where broken and even a new world record! Final results and a complete wrap-up here!    
         
    Sport Stacking on TV in Japan!      
      The airwaves have been filled these last few months here in Japan as Sport Stacking once again takes the country by storm! Programs featuring this rapidly spreading sport have included Super News Anchor, Tonari no Maestro, Heros of the World, Takeshi's Point of View, Japan's 100 All Stars and even a commercial for high speed internet service!     2009 National Championships Announced!    
    March 15th is the day set for Japan's fourth national tournament, the 2009 WSSA Japan Sport Stacking Championships! This year's venue is the Tokyo International School in Minato-ku, Tokyo.     Sport Stacking Hits the Airwaves Again!      
     

TV Asahi's popular show 'Pusuma' recently featured a sport stacking time challenge. Smap's very own Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and other big stars went against the clock in the 3-6-3. The top talent were wowed as current Japan Champion Tsuyoshi Seo showed them how a pro does it! Stay tuned for more news about Speed Stacks on TV here.

 
 
             
    Speed Stacks take Center Stage!      
    Head over to Odaiba's Sony ExploraScience from March 10th-May 10th and see sport stacking like you've never seen it. On 3 giant video displays, 9-year-old stacker Mahaad Akhtar does the Cycle stack, each screen displaying the action at a different speed. Shot with Sony's Super Slow Motion camera (rumored to cost over $100,000), Mahaad showed he's got the stuff! Details on the Sony Science Museum here.  
 
             
             
   
2007 WSSA Japan Time Trials!
     
It was wall-to-wall sport stacking on Sunday, March 18th at the 2007 WSSA Japan Time Trials! Seo Tsuyoshi won the coveted Top Stacker award and will travel to the U.S. to compete in the 2007 WSSA World Sport Stacking Championships! [Complete tournament results here ]  
 
             
             
    2007 World Sport Stacking Championships!      
    Mark your calendar for Saturday and Sunday, April 14-15th, 2007 when the best of the best compete at the 2007 WSSA World Sport Stacking Championships at the Denver Coliseum in Denver, Colorado.     New Guinness World Record Set!      
 
  On Monday, November 6th, a brand new Guinness World Record was set in Sport Stacking! The first-ever WSSA STACK UP! was a resounding success setting a world record for the “Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day.” Check out the final results here!  
 
             
             
    Emily Fox premiers on TV in Japan !      
    The long-running hit show "Sekai Marumie! Terebi Tokusogu" (World Great TV), broadcast on Nihon TV, will feature a story on Emily Fox and Speed Stacks! Be sure to watch on Monday, October 9 from 7-9pm. (Channel 4 in Tokyo.)  
 
             
             
    Sport Stacking Comes to Television in Japan!      
    Speed Stacks fills the airwaves in the month of October as Sport Stacking is featured on TV! The Kansai based show, "Sutapika!" (Those Amazing Kids!), will have a segment on Sport Stacking displaying the skills of Top Stacker Kimi Juds. If your in the Kansai area, don't miss it!   As the Sports Coordinator at the Montessori School of Tokyo, James Moore began a sport stacking program at his school in 2005. "Sport Stacking has been an excellent addition to our programme..,"said James. Read the full interview here.    
             
             
    The Speed Stacks Demo Team Gets Stacking for Summer!  
 
  The Speed Stacks Demonstration Team is getting ready for some serious stacking this summer! By popular demand, they have been invited back to the Guinness World Records Museum-Tokyo.     2006 WSSA World Sport Stacking Championships    
 
 

1,066 competitors from five countries compete in the  premier sport stacking event of the year. International participants hailed from Canada, England, Japan, Australia and Germany, and many are flying home with medals and trophies as proof of their stacking prowess. Read more at the WSSA website!

First Guinness World Record Set in Sport Stacking
 
 
 

Sport stacking took over Times Square in New York City on August 26th, 2004 where Emily Fox set the first ever recognized Guinness World Record in sport stacking.  She completed the Cycle stack in 8.42 seconds at this event.

Shortly thereafter her WSSA Cycle Stack world record of 7.43 seconds set previously was accepted as the current official Guinness World Record and is featured on page 46 of the 2006 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.
